Testimonials

Alexandre Almeida

Alexandre had already tried everything, from hospitalization to hypnosis, to try to free himself from what took him to rock bottom: «the disease of alcoholism». About to lose what he loves most, his family, it was his wife who found what he considers his “salvation” at The Clinic of Change. «Today I am free from alcohol, I have recovered my family, my sanity, my joy in living. And how good it is to live.”

Carla

Carla was already tired of the anxiety and depression that wouldn't let go of her. There were too many casualties, medication, many years of sleeping and eating to compensate for the emotions… now she feels like her life changed overnight. “Right now, I wake up every morning and I just say: let’s live.” And, even better, she feels that the treatment left her with tools that will stay with her forever.

Isabel

There were times when even being at home alone Isabel felt “horrible panic”. She has suffered from agoraphobia since she was very young and the pandemic, with its empty streets, made everything worse and caused her to regress in treatment. To «try again and achieve more freedom», she then opted for The Clinic of Change. She now feels a renewed energy and, for the first time, she claims that she got to the root and understood her phobia: “It was felt more, it was more from within, it was more honest with myself.”

Susana

Over the years, she tried various therapies and medications, but the improvements, she says, were limited in time. With motherhood, and a psychiatric problem that affected one of her children, Susana also started to have anxiety attacks which, she says, “were constant”. Now, after having finished all the sessions, she shares, with a smile, how for the first time, last summer, she took “pleasure from the sea, from getting into the water, from being in the water”. She knows that it is natural, in the face of the problems that life presents, to feel anxiety from time to time, but “it’s completely new” the way in which nowadays.
